Our Mission

Our mission as a chartered Troop of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

Beaver Day will be on May 31st. This is a day for Scouts and Scouters to go down to Camp Cornhusker and work on preparing the camp for the coming season. There are man downed branches resulting from the ice storm last December, so all help is appreciated! You can read more here.

Adults, if you have not completed your training, please do so soon. Much of the training can be completed on-line at www.cornhuskercouncil.org /training. Also, adults who have not changed position since February 2003 will be receiving a notification to reregister and submit to a criminal background check. Please do so before August 1st, or you will not be rechartered. You can read more details here.

Starting in January 2009, at least one adult on a campout will be required to go through Weather Hazards training. Learn more here.
